How does microneedling work?
Microneedling opens a large number of very small channels in the skin. As these channels heal, collagen production increases. Needle depth is set by area and concern: the depth chosen for a scar on the cheek is not the one chosen around the eyes.
What does a chemical peel do?
A chemical peel loosens the bonds that hold dead cells together in the top layer. When the top layer comes away in an orderly way, the newer cells beneath rise to the surface. Superficial peels work mostly on texture and tone; deeper peels aim for a repair response in the lower layer.

Why is sunscreen essential after skin renewal?

Sealing ingredients form a film on the surface and slow down the evaporation of water. If dryness does not go away, the missing piece is often the third layer.
