Radiofrequency Microneedling (Gold Needle)

Radiofrequency microneedling delivers energy through the tip of a needle to a set depth in the skin. In Türkiye it is widely called the gold needle, after the coating of the needles.

The difference from microneedling is the energy. Microneedling leaves only a mechanical stimulus. Here, radiofrequency energy is released from the needle tip and controlled heat forms in the deeper layer.

The surface is spared; the work happens in the deeper layer. Because the needle releases energy only at the chosen depth, the top layer stays largely intact. Recovery therefore runs differently from some surface treatments.

It is chosen for acne scars, the look of pores and loose tissue. The depth setting changes with the concern and the area: the depth used on the cheek is not the one used along the jawline.

Redness and mild swelling may last a few days after treatment. Sun protection matters during this time; renewing skin is more sensitive to ultraviolet light.

The number of sessions depends on the condition of the skin, and it is not finished in one session. Suitability is decided after the consultation.
