“Losing 100 hairs a day is normal.”
Daily shedding within a certain range is considered normal. So the real question is not “how many hairs” but “for how long and where”.

TRUE UNDER CONDITIONS
Daily shedding within a certain range is considered normal. But taking this figure alone as a yardstick is misleading; nobody counts hairs, and anyone who does cannot get an accurate result.
More reliable signs are these: how long the shedding has lasted, whether hair density is visibly falling, whether the shedding is everywhere or in particular areas, and whether there is any change in the hairline.
So the real question is not “how many hairs” but “for how long and where”.
